Foot Pedal Techniques

     I sat down at the set today and decided I would bring my pedals out. I own DW 7000 pedals they are a middle of the line quality. I say that and mean they are not terrible but they are not Trick pedals. As i was saying, I sat on the set and gave them a play and as I was picking up speed I started to swivel my feet.(Swiveling is when you start moving your feet left to right while playing pedals to get more power in playing.) I started to wonder what other people were using to get their speed on the pedals. I went to good old youtube and watched a few Derek Roddy and George Kollias videos. They are both intense metal drummers and can play with intense speed. George does a swivel and Derek does flat foot (which is another technique for more speed). 

Do you play pedals? If so what techniques do you use to get out maximum speed? 

Also do you use triggers for your bass drum or drums in general?
